Garrison PTO
The Garrison Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization (Garrison PTO Tax ID Number: 46-3561818).
We are committed to fostering connections and engagement within Garrison’s families, teachers, and students. Our vision is for a school where all students, regardless of family structure, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity or culture, feel loved, challenged, and successful. A school where all families feel welcome, informed, and valued.
We work together to build an equitable and active community within Garrison that also respects our school’s neighborhood and history. We help support open communication between the school and families, organize community events, and provide financial support to school programs.
All are welcome and no dues are required, but we do need support. If you'd like to learn more and get involved, please email PTO@garrisonelementary.org.
Serve on the PTO Board
Are you interested in getting more involved with your Wildcats' school? Serving on the Parent Teacher Organization board is a great way to help make Garrison the best school it can be for all of our staff, students, and families. It's an amazing opportunity to learn more about the school, to get to know other families and school staff, and to help us on our journey to building a PTO that both reflects and supports our intentionally diverse school community.
The board can best serve the school when its elected members bring different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds that make up the Garrison community. Each board member is responsible for different areas, from communications to building relationships with classroom staff to fundraising to family outreach. English does not need to be your first language to join the board, and the time commitment is flexible.

We also have the opportunity to support the Garrison PTO every time we shop at Harris Teeter! Here’s how to make that happen: at check-out, ask the cashier to link the PTO’s number (7122) to your Harris Teeter VIC card. After that, the store will contribute five percent of your Harris Teeter brand purchases to the PTO’s account.
